What is GeoRankScore?

Does AI recommend you? GeoRankScore measures, shows, and fixes it.

GeoRankScore is an AI visibility tool that measures whether AI assistants like ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude, and Perplexity recommend your business, diagnoses why, and lays out the fix plan — in plain language, with results you can act on.

01 / HOW IT WORKS

Measure → Diagnose → Prescribe → Measure again.

  1. 01

    Measure

We ask 3 AI engines the real questions your customers ask, then pinpoint you and your competitors.

  2. 02

    Diagnose

We show you why you are not recommended: site access, structured data, missing sources.

  3. 03

    Prescribe

We prioritize what to publish and hand you ready-made outputs like llms.txt and schema.

  4. 04

    Measure again

Every Monday we re-scan and report your progress in a single-page briefing.

02 / GLOSSARY

Four terms worth knowing.

What is AI visibility?
AI visibility is how often AI tools like ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude and Perplexity recommend a business when users ask for suggestions. It is different from Google rankings: it depends on structured data, mentions across trusted sources, and content the AI can actually read.
What is GEO?
GEO (Generative Engine Optimization) is the practice of optimizing your content, data and brand signals so AI systems cite and recommend you. In a world where search is moving into AI chat, it takes the place of classic SEO.
What is AEO?
AEO (Answer Engine Optimization) means structuring web content into clear, concise answers that AI can quote directly. It overlaps with GEO; the difference is its focus on the 40–60 word answer capsules a model repeats word for word.
What is llms.txt?
llms.txt is a file that lives at the root of your site (yoursite.com/llms.txt) and hands AI crawlers a plain-text summary of your business and its most important pages. It is the AI-era counterpart to robots.txt and sitemap.xml.
What is Share of Voice?
Share of Voice is the percentage of AI recommendations in a category that belong to your business. For example, if AI makes 10 suggestions for "cafes in Izmir" and you appear in 3, your share of voice is 30%. Unlike a single ranking, it measures how much of the total conversation in your category you own.
What are AI bots (GPTBot, ClaudeBot)?
AI bots are the crawlers AI models send to read your site — OpenAI’s GPTBot, Anthropic’s ClaudeBot, Google’s Google-Extended and more. If your robots.txt blocks these bots, AI can’t see your content and can’t recommend you. Being visible to Google is not the same as being visible to these bots.
What is Schema.org (structured data)?
Schema.org is a markup standard that labels your business name, address, hours and services in a way machines can understand. It lets AI read facts precisely — "this is a dental clinic in Alsancak, open these hours" — so you get recommended based on data, not guesswork.
What is grounding?
Grounding is when AI runs a live web search and bases its answer on real sources instead of memory. Gemini’s Google search and ChatGPT’s web browsing do this. Grounding lets AI reach current information; if there is no readable, up-to-date content about your business, you can’t surface at this stage.
What is a prompt?
A prompt is the question or command a user types to an AI. What matters for GEO is the prompts your customers actually use: "Can you recommend a reliable dental clinic in Izmir?" GeoRankScore scans put these real prompts to AI engines and measure where you show up.
What is a hallucination?
A hallucination is when AI states something false or made up with total confidence. If there is no readable, accurate and consistent content about your business, AI can say the wrong things from incomplete information. Clear, structured content ensures you are both mentioned correctly and not misrepresented in a rival’s favor.
