What does GeoRankScore actually do for my business?+
Three things: it measures whether AI engines mention you today, diagnoses why they don’t, and hands you the fix as ready-made text. Every Monday it re-measures and reports what changed. It makes a loss you cannot see visible — and tells you, in order, what to do about it.
How often will AI recommend me?+
Nobody can tell you that in advance — be wary of anyone who does. AI answers shift from query to query. We don’t predict frequency, we measure it: every week we put your industry’s real questions to 5 engines and show you how many of those measurements recommended you.
Do you guarantee that I’ll get recommended?+
No, and we can’t — the engine makes that call. What we can control is whether AI can read you: is your site open to AI crawlers, is there structured data describing you, do you have pages answering real questions, are you mentioned in trusted sources. As those improve, your odds improve.
Does AI visibility actually bring customers?+
AI gives one recommendation list, not ten links; being on that list means being the first — often the only — option the person sees. The return depends on your industry and demand volume. That’s why we sell measurement, not promises: run the free scan and see where you stand.
I already rank first on Google — do I need this?+
Google rankings do not guarantee AI recommendations. AI doesn’t read rankings; it reads the sources it can access and trust. Among the businesses we scan there are plenty that rank first on Google and appear nowhere in the AI answer. The free scan shows that gap in a minute.
I’m not technical — is there anything I have to do?+
No. We decide what needs doing and hand you the text and code (llms.txt, schema, FAQ copy, business description) ready to copy and paste. Adding it to your site takes you or your web person a few minutes. If you get stuck, message us in live chat.
How quickly will I see results?+
Your first scan result is on screen within a minute: your score, the real AI answer, and your site report. Visibility itself moves slower — with the right steps, usually 2–6 weeks for the first engines and 8–12 weeks for broad visibility. We measure and show the change every Monday.
What’s the difference between the free scan and the subscription?+
The free scan is one-off: a single real question to ChatGPT plus your site’s AI access report. The subscription scans all 5 engines every week with several questions from your industry, and adds competitor tracking, a fix plan, ready-made content and the Monday briefing.
Is there a contract? Can I cancel any time?+
No contract. The subscription is monthly and cancels with one click from your dashboard; it simply stops renewing and you keep access until the end of the period you paid for. There is no setup fee, no minimum term and no cancellation charge.
Can I see what my competitors are doing?+
Yes. Whoever AI recommended instead of you is listed by name: which engine, which question, which position. Competitor Radar tracks the weekly movement — who pulled ahead, who slipped, who newly entered the list.
I have several locations — how does that work?+
The subscription is per business; each one gets its own dashboard, score and weekly briefing. You can add branches separately. You can also define extra districts, cities or countries for a single business and measure how the same question is answered in each location.
I don’t have a website — is this still useful?+
We’ll still run the scan and you’ll see whether AI knows you at all. But to be clear: without a source AI can read, visibility won’t hold. Without a site, the first moves are a solid Google Business Profile and social accounts — though the highest-impact step remains having a site.

How do I get my business recommended by ChatGPT?+
ChatGPT builds its recommendations not from ads, but from the structured data on your site, mentions across trusted sources and content it can read. To get recommended, clarify your business details, add schema, publish pages that answer common questions, and keep your Google Business Profile up to date.
Why does ChatGPT recommend my competitor instead of me?+
AI recommends the business that is mentioned more often and more clearly in the sources it reads. If your competitor is getting recommended, their site is more readable to AI and the mentions about them are stronger. That gap is measurable — and closable.
How do I find out whether ChatGPT mentions me?+
The most reliable method is to ask the question your customer would ask ("What’s the best Y in city X?") on a regular basis and record the answers. GeoRankScore does this automatically every week: it puts real questions to 5 AI engines, detects you and your competitors, and produces your score.
Can you pay to get recommended by ChatGPT?+
No. There is no ad slot to buy in AI recommendations, and no tool can guarantee "pay us and you’ll be recommended." What you can do is become stronger and more readable in the sources AI draws on. That is exactly what GeoRankScore measures and manages.
What is GEO (Generative Engine Optimization)?+
GEO is the practice of optimizing your content, data and brand signals so generative AI like ChatGPT, Gemini and Perplexity recommend you. Instead of a spot on Google’s results page, it targets existing inside the AI chat answer itself.
What’s the difference between GEO, AEO and SEO?+
SEO aims to rank high in Google results. GEO aims to get recommended in AI answers. AEO focuses on producing short, clear answer blocks that AI can quote verbatim. The three complement each other — and the weight is shifting fast toward GEO.
How is AI search different from Google search?+
Google gives you ten links and you make the choice. AI gives one answer and makes the choice for you. That’s why there’s no such thing as "being on page 3" in AI search: you’re either in the answer or you’re not.
Does my Google Business Profile affect ChatGPT recommendations?+
Yes. For local business recommendations, AI engines draw on sources like your Google profile, reviews and map data. A missing or neglected profile directly lowers your AI visibility.
How long does it take to show up in ChatGPT?+
With the right steps, showing up in the first engines usually takes 2–6 weeks, and lasting, broad visibility 8–12 weeks. Because AI models refresh their sources periodically, change arrives gradually — which is why weekly measurement is essential.
What is llms.txt, and do I need it?+
llms.txt is a file at the root of your site that gives AI crawlers a plain-text summary of your business. It isn’t mandatory, but it makes it easier for AI to understand you correctly. GeoRankScore generates your llms.txt file for you automatically.
Can AI visibility be measured?+
Yes. It’s measured by putting the same questions to the same engines regularly and scoring the answers: how many engines recommended you, in what position, who pulled ahead. GeoRankScore turns this into a single 0–100 score and tracks its weekly change.
How much does AI visibility optimization cost?+
Agencies typically deliver this work as a monthly retainer running into the hundreds of dollars, usually on a committed contract. GeoRankScore delivers the same measure-diagnose-fix loop as software, on a monthly subscription, with no commitment. See the pricing page for current rates.
What we don’t promise
Nobody can promise "AI will recommend you this often" — so we don’t. The engine makes that call. Our job is not to predict it but to measure it the same way every week, show you why the answer looks the way it does, and write the fix. That’s why our whole method is public.
